I don't subscribe to that philosophy, as is apparent.  I have only the tools I can foreseeably use.  If they don't work out for me, I get rid of them as they take up space and attention for maintenance.

Having things I don't use bothers me.  I just gave away an STI LS40 that I had no use for and couldn't sell within a reasonable time.  I'm considering getting and S&W in .45 ACP.

I's a challenge to learn to do that--even if I never reach 3 seconds.  I'll have to skip this.  I sold my last revolver this year.  All pistols from now on.

I just got one of these promised in trade.  Can't wait to inspect it when it arrives. Report will follow later.

Mental Conditioning / You Gotta Believe

A prerequisite for success is believing that there is a possibility for success.  Watch an offhand 1000 yard shot with a Barrett M107 .50 cal.

If he didn't believe, he wouldn't have tried the shot.  If he can do that, a student can make a pistol shot at 25 yards.

Small primers are traditional for target loads.  I forget what the theory is.  I never saw a difference.  Are small primers lower priced?

I like it!  I'll have to tryit to see if it's useful.  Has anyone seen a shot timer iPhone app?

Firearms Legislation / Re: Colorado recall petitions gain momentum

That's the right strategy to oust an incumbent that voted for bad legislation.  Best to do it in time to exhaust their campaign money fighting the recall.

What's amazing to me is that they set out to ban hollow point ammunition and failed!  That's a new low in gun ignorance.

Yes, that's the way I read it too.  I'm sure there is some limitation or interpretation on what a "secure gun storage or safety device" means. I will have to do some research.

I agree.  Even though they're painted OD, they are not easily recognizable as non ammunition, like fluorescent orange plastic is.  I also have some bright orange plastic .22 dummies.  They also deform with time.  The rims break off fairly quickly. When flourescent orange polymer cased ammo becomes the rage, things will get really complicated. LOL
