Looks like some trip planning is in the works.
I'm planning on attending 2 day shotgun class, and 2 day practical rifle class in December. This should give me an opportunity to learn more of the Frontsight manipulations, and put me one step closer to DG on all 3 classes (gotta have goals).
I've got some better food plans in place, and I think my gear plans are in order.
I'm going to be going without a backup rifle, but the class only calls for 200 rounds. If my AR breaks down after 200 rounds, I might curl up and die. I may or may not bring a backup Shotgun, I'm using a Remington 870 as my primary, so again, curl up and die.
Has anyone been to Pahrump in December? I don't mind cold and rain, but I've never lived in the desert. Temperature averages are 29-58F. I have been slowly accumulating hiking layers, so I feel better prepared for colder weather than I was for the 90F last time.
