NRA Basic Rifle

The NRA Basic Rifle curriculum focuses on firearm safety, firearm safety and we even take some time to talk about firearm safety. We then move to Ammunition and how it functions, the parts and function of several types of rifles, a primer on California firearms law, and the to the fundamentals of rifle shooting. After each section students are given time to go hands on, and the class ends with a 2-3 hour range session.

  • Range time
  • Cleaning and maintenance
  • Selecting a rifle

You will have one on one time with an instructor and a .22 caliber rifle.

Cost: The class cost is $150, and runs from 10:00AM to approximately 8:00PM. There is a full one hour lunch period and several breaks to help make the class time more enjoyable.

*Bayprofs instructors are also certified to issue the California Firearm Safety Certificates. If you are interested in taking the FSC, we strongly recommend reading the material provided here. The additional cost of the FSC permit is $25, and tests will be taken at the end of the class.
